NCC – NATIONAL CADET CORPS      

National Cadet Corps was started in the college during the year 1963 with an infantry platoon of 50 cadets strength in affiliation with 29 Andhra Battalion NCC, Tirupati. The NCC cadets participate in the institutional and camp training programmes every year in diffeferent places of the country. The outstanding cadets will get the chance to participate in Republic day parade at Rajpath, New Delhi. Cadets have also distinguished themselves by bagging National Awards. The NCC unit is headed by a trained faculty as Associate NCC Officer in the college. The NCC unit organizes cadet drill on Republic Day and Independence Day. Novel programmes like blood donation, Tree plantation, awareness about drug abuse, AIDS, road safety, health and hygiene etc are also taken up by the NCC unit. So far more than 300 cadets secured ‘B’ certificates and more than 200 cadets obtained ‘C’ certificates.

 

  • Dr. P. Karthik Reddy has attended 90 days NCC Pre-Commission Training course at Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra held from 04-12-2016 to 05- 03-2017.
  • Dr. P. Karthik Reddy has got the approval of Competent Authority for the grant of commission in NCC with No. NCC/01110307 and Lieutenant Rank
  • The Army wing NCC Officer of S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati, Lieutenant Dr. P. Karthik Reddy has attended the training on behalf of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana NCC Directorate from 1 st – 30 th of November, 2021 at Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra
  • Dr. P. Karthik Reddy won the Silver medal and appreciation certificate from OTA Commandant Major General Alok Bheri for showing exceptional skills in the Rifle shooting, Weapon training, Map reading, Drill test, Written test and Physical proficiency test parameters out of 387 officers from all over the India.
